Teresa is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the School of Health Sciences in Porto, Portugal, in 2012. She is registered with the HCPC, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) professional network. Teresa is a fully certified APPI Clinical Pilates instructor in both matwork and equipment-based Pilates and a certified Kinetic Control Movement Therapist. She is passionate about empowering individuals — particularly women — through movement, strength, and education.
Teresa’s clinical approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation, movement analysis, hands-on therapy, and exercise prescription to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their health. She believes in treating the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms, and works closely with each patient to create personalised treatment plans that support long-term recovery, resilience, and confidence in movement.
Teresa has specialist interests in spinal conditions, persistent pain, hypermobility spectrum disorders, autoimmune-related musculoskeletal conditions, and women’s health. She provides comprehensive pelvic health assessments and rehabilitation, supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, menopause, and the various physical challenges across different life stages. As a mother with over two decades of involvement in sport and strength training, she brings firsthand understanding of the physical demands of different life stages into her patient care.
Areas of Interest: Women’s health physiotherapy, pelvic health, pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, postnatal rehabilitation, menopause-related musculoskeletal conditions, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti rehabilitation, lower back and neck pain, spinal conditions, persistent pain, hypermobility spectrum disorders, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, autoimmune-related musculoskeletal conditions, joint instability, sports injuries, injury prevention.
