How we Help
Understanding Back & Neck Pain
Back and neck pain can arise from a wide range of causes, including disc injuries, postural strain, muscle tension, joint dysfunction, nerve irritation, and degenerative changes. Pain may be localised or radiate into the arms, shoulders, or legs.
It may be sharp and acute, or dull and persistent. In many cases, it is a combination of physical, postural, and lifestyle factors working together, which is why a thorough, individualised assessment is so important.
Common conditions we treat include cervical and lumbar disc herniation, facet joint dysfunction, postural neck pain, whiplash, cervicogenic headaches, muscle strain, and chronic lower back pain.
How We Can Help
Your assessment begins with a detailed clinical history, exploring not just the location and nature of your pain, but how it is affecting your work, sleep, movement, and daily life. A thorough physical examination follows, assessing spinal mobility, posture, nerve function, and muscular strength to identify the precise source of your symptoms.
Treatment is tailored entirely to your presentation and may include spinal manual therapy, joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, dry needling, postural re-education, and a progressive exercise programme designed to address the underlying cause, not just the symptoms.
We regularly see patients who have tried treatment elsewhere without lasting results. Our physiotherapists and osteopath are experienced in managing complex and unresolved spinal cases, bringing fresh clinical perspective and a structured plan to move you forward.
What to Expect
We usually recommend a 60 minute initial appointment, giving your clinician the time to assess thoroughly, explain clearly, and begin treatment where appropriate. By the end of your first session you will have a clear diagnosis, an honest prognosis, and a transparent plan for your recovery.
No GP referral is required. Appointments are available across all clinics.
