ABOUT Catherine Van Wijk
Catherine graduated from the University of South Australia in 2019 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has since worked in private practice, gaining broad experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including various sports and dance-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and clinical Pilates.
She has a strong clinical interest in women’s health and has completed additional training through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy. Catherine supports women across all life stages, with particular interests in pre- and post-natal care, pelvic health, pregnancy-related pain, hip pathology, hypermobility, and menopause-related changes.
Catherine takes a holistic, client-centred approach, combining hands-on treatment with individualised rehabilitation programmes to help clients return to meaningful activity and optimise long-term health. Drawing on her background as a competitive dancer, she brings a detailed and empathetic approach to movement assessment and injury rehabilitation, empowering clients to better understand their bodies and take an active role in their recovery.
